The second edition of The Hiker’s Guide to California’s 21 Spanish Missions Along El Camino Real by the California Mission Walkers includes detailed day-by-day plans, turn-by-turn directions along with GPS navigation files, lodging and dining options, full-color photos and route overview maps, and over two hundred points of interest along the 800-mile walk from San Diego to Sonoma.
The daily walking plans are flexible for use by a solo thru-hiker or by a group of day-hikers. This second edition guidebook is based on Butch Briery’s 2012 first edition, with the benefit of an additional ten years of Mission Walking experience contributed by dozens of hikers.
